Usage tips and tricks
ITPP941 requires OS X 10.9 or newer.
1. Please download the driver package for ITPP941from this link: http://bit.ly/ITPP941-drivers
2. When you open the download file, you should see the screen shown below. It is highly recommended that you open the installation guide so you can follow along.
Please double click on the pkg installer to begin.
3. Follow the installation steps until you receive "Installation was successful" message shown below.
4. Open your Mac's "Settings" and click on "Printers and Scanners."
5. On the next window, press "+" .
6. Click on Label Printer, and then choose "Select Software" in the drop down menu.
7. Please search / find "ITPP941 Printer" and click OK.
8. Click on "Add"
9. You may wish to print a Sample 4 x 6 Shipping Label. In the print dialogue, please be sure to select your "Paper Size" appropriately (for example 4 x 6).
10. If there is a error ‘pkg’can’t be opened because it is from undentified developer when installing the driver, please follow the steps below to allow the macOS to finish the installation.
（1）Go to the Security & privacy
（2）Select to allow the 'labelprinter.pkg' in the option pointed in this pic.

2. For security reasons, driver file is placed within zip file. Please extract / open / run the installer within this zip file and follow the installer steps.
3. After installation, please go to your Window's Printers and you should now see "Label Printer". You can reach this page by going to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers.
4. Right click on "Label Printer" and choose Printing Preferences.Under Layout tab, click on "Advanced..."
5. Select your label size from the drop down menu. Most 4 x 6 shipping labels are 100 x 150mm. Click Ok to save your settings.
1. Shopify Setup
Follow these simple steps to setup your Shopify to Print to ITPP941.
Click on Settings on the left hand side menu.
Choose Shipping under Settings.
Set your Shipping Label Printing to "4 x 6 label printers (DYMO or similar). Click on "Print test label" to print a sample label to your ITPP941.
2. eBay Setup
ITPP941 is fully compatible with USPS labels generated through eBay. We just need to tell eBay to print in 4 x 6 format.
Note: After you follow these steps, only your new labels will be generated in 4 x 6 format. eBay will not change your previously printed labels. Currently eBay provides 4 x 6 labels only for USPS shipments.
Note to IE users: Please note ITPP941 users have reported an occasional bug on eBay with Internet Explorer / Microsoft Edge. If you click Print and nothing happens, please close your browser and open it again or use Chrome or FireFox. Please note this is unrelated to ITPP941 and it has to do with Internet Explorer and eBay.
On the new eBay Interface, please 4"x6" PDF as your label format.
On the "Classic" Interface:
1.During your label creation process, please click on [Printer and label receipt preferences]
2.On the following pop up, you may pick any of the 4x6 label sized printers. For example, you may pick the "Zebra TLP3842 4x6"
3.Click "Save" and continue with the purchasing of your label.
3. UPS WorldShip
Follow these simple steps to setup your UPS WorldShip with ITPP941.
If you have not already done so, please download UPS WorldShip and install it on your computer.
After your have gone through your initial ITPP941 Setup, please open UPS WorldShip and follow the steps below:
4. Etsy Setup
To update your Etsy settings so it generated 4x6 shipping labels:
1) Sign in to Etsy.com.
2) Click Shop Manager.
3) Click Orders & Shipping.
4) Click View shipping labels.
5) Click Options.
6) Select Format my labels for 4x6 Label printers.
Please note that after you change the label format to 4 x 6, only new labels will be generated correctly. Kindly void any previously generated labels and create new ones.

5. ShipStation Setup
Please follow the following steps to update your ShipStation document settings to be 4 x 6.
(1)Click on Settings gear icon at the top right corner.
(2)Choose Document Options.
(3)Click on "Document Options" next to "Labels"
(4)Choose 4" x 6" or 4" x 6" (w/ Packing Slip) and click Save

7. BigCommerce Setup
ITPP941 is compatible with all platforms that offer shipping labels in 4x6 format. This includes BigCommerce.

8. Sellbrite Setup
Once you click the Create Shipping Label button, a popup will appear. Please follow the steps until you arrive to "Select Shipping Rate."
Please change the Label format to "PDF 4x6".
Please note this change only takes place for your new labels.
9. Poshmark Setup
By default Poshmark produces labels in in 8.5 x 11 size which won't fit correctly on 4x6 labels.
Please kindly update your label size setting on Posh Mark to 4x6.
To select your shipping label size, go to: Account Tab > My Seller tools > Shipping Label Settings
10. Amazon.com Customer Orders Setup
These are orders to fulfill customer orders. You may simply leave the layout as "default" and this will produce a label in 4x6 size in the proper format for ITPP941 and other thermal printers.
11. Endicia for Mac Setup
To setup ITPP941 for your Endicia for Mac, please kindly follow this setup article from Endicia:
The final step that is not covered in the article above is to select "Client-side with fonts" under Style in the Printer Setup window.
12. Shippo Setup
To print your label in 4x6 in format, which is compatible with thermal label printers, navigate to the Labels tab by clicking "Settings" then "Labels". Find the "Default label format" drop-down menu and choose "4x6 in PDF," then save your changes at the bottom of the page.
Once you've changed this setting, your labels will print in the correct format for your thermal label printer. Keep in mind that when you change this format, it will only apply to new labels, created after you make the change. Shippo doesn't convert the formats of existing labels. Please note that international UPS labels cannot be created in 4x6 in format because of the attached commercial invoices (for all other carriers, commercial invoices are created separately in Shippo).
Print Quality issue
1. Q: why My labels are not sharp / dark
A: The most common reason for low-quality prints has to do with low-quality source file
If it seems like your original low-quality print was designed for 8.5 x 11 size, please to see if you can change the label settings to be 4 x 6.
Our recommendation is to use a commercial solution which will automatically download your orders from your online channels (eBay, Amazon, Etsy, etc.) and provide you with a simple button to print your 4 x 6 labels in high-quality.
If only parts of your label look faded, the reason could be one of the following:
The darkness of the label depends on the label manufacturer. High quality labels produce darker prints.
2) Margins and page size
Please ensure the content is taking up the whole label. If there are extra borders, your design may be "shrunk" printed in smaller size resulting in faded content.
3) Print density and speed
Within your ITPP941 printer preferences, you can set your "Density" and "Speed"
By default, ITPP941 is set to print at its fastest. Slowing this speed will result in a higher resolution.
Note: Increasing the number for your density / darkness will result in a darker print. Setting the density too high will result in unwanted dark lines and/or label getting too hot and sticking mid-way to the printer head. Decreasing this number result in a lighter print.
You may access these settings by going to your Control Panel -> Printers and Devices -> Right Click on ‘Label Printer’ -> Printer Preferences -> Page Setup -> Setting
Look for drop down menu under "Printer Features".
2. Q: Why there are white spots in my print
A: It is likely that the printer head has gotten dirty.
(1)Please turn ITPP941 off and allow it to cool down
(2)Please use the provided alcohol pads to wipe the printer head clean. Any 70% Isopropyl Alcohol pad would work. These are commonly available in pharmacies and grocery stores as well as on Amazon. Image below shows the highlighted areas that could cause this fade / dead zone.
(3)Allow 2-3 minutes for components to dry, then turn ITPP941 back on.
Finally, it is possible that something has interfered with ITPP941's driver. Please uninstall ITPP941, restart your computer, and install the driver: http://bit.ly/ITPP941-drivers
1. Q: Why i am printing blank labels?
A: (1) The most common reason is that your labels are loaded in upside down. Please ensure your labels are properly loaded. The label that you peel off should be facing the ceiling when it comes out of the printer
(2) Ensure your labels are "Direct Thermal" labels.
2. Q: Why the printer is skipping labels or continuously feeding?
A: There are two main causes for ITPP941 skipping labels or continuously feeding. This behavior is usually after you change your label type, size, or manufacturer.
(1)ITPP941 hasn't learned your label [Most Common Reason]
①Please re-run the automatic label identification so ITPP941 can learn your label.
②To make sure your computer is not sending print commands to ITPP941, please disconnect the USB cable from your ITPP941 printer, then simply press and hold the top circular button on ITPP941 until you hear one beep. Then let go.
③ITPP941 will then move the label back and forth to learn the gap size and other properties of your label. You should now see a green light and label placed at the tear off point.
④Please re-connect the USB cable to ITPP941 and try your print.
(2)Your operating system is sending a longer / shorter label to ITPP941.
Please ensure you have the correct label size:
Please go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers -> Right Click on ITPP941 -> Printer Preferences -> Advanced Button.
Most 4 x 6 labels are 100mm x 150mm
Please select 100mm x 150mm or 4" x 6" size during on the print prompt window
Note: The application you are using (i.e. Adobe Reader) could be over-riding your driver label setting and sending the print in a larger / smaller size to ITPP941. Look for "Page Setup" or "Paper Size" in the print prompt and ensure it is set to the size you want.
3. Q: Why my label is printing sideways?
A: The most likely reason is that your label is not properly formatted for 4 x 6 label printing. ITPP941 prints exactly what you see on your screen in the same orientation. So if the label looks side-ways on your screen or if it has a lot of white space around the label, ITPP941 will print it side-ways and with the same amount of white space.
If your label is 4 x 6 but just provided sideways, you can setup ITPP941 to rotate it for you automatically:
During the print prompt, select your label size under Presets, then navigate to Printer Features -> Page Options and Select 90 under "Rotate."
Go to Control Panel -> Devices and Printers -> Right click on ‘Label Printer’ -> Printer preferences -> Go to Page Setup -> Under Orientation choose Landscape and Click Apply / Ok.
4. Q: Why the label is getting stuck / prints only half and stops?
A: ITPP941 prints by heating your label in very specific areas.
If your label is getting stuck (usually during printing something really dark like barcode or a thick straight line), this is most likely due to your print density being set too high for your label.
This causes the label to get too hot and get stuck to the print head. Various labels respond to the same level of heat differently.
Please set your print speed to "4" and density to "2" and try your print again. If your label is too light now, please increase the density by 1.
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click on ITPP941 > Printer Preferences > Page Setup
Adjust Speed / Density and click on OK.
Access these settings directly from the print menu as shown below.
5. Q: Why the same label keeps printing?
A: When ITPP941 doesn't believe a label was printed correctly, it will attempt to re-print it.
If this keeps repeating, this is most likely because ITPP941 hasn't learned your label's properties. This is usually followed by a blinking red light.
1) Please turn ITPP941 off using the black switch behind the printer and turn it back on. This clears any pending print jobs.
2) Please ensure you have several labels available behind ITPP941 and one label loaded for ITPP941 to print.
3) Please press and hold the top button until you hear one beep, then let go. This starts the automatic label identification and you should see your label moving back and forth and stopping at the correct tear off point.
4) When you a see a green light, please try your print and it should print perfectly moving forward.
1. Q: Why my printer doesn't turn on?
A: Some of these suggestions may seem mundane, but often they do fix the issue.
(1)Please ensure the wall plug has electricity by plugging another device into that same plug.
(2)Please follow the power cable to the adapter and check that the cable that goes to ITPP941 is plugged in all the way into the power adapter.
(3)Please ensure the plug that goes into ITPP941 is fully inserted.
(4)Please turn the power switch off and on. This switch is located on the back side of ITPP941.
2. Q: Why the red Light is Flashing?
A: Red light is an indication that ITPP941 has a problem with your label.
Most likely, ITPP941 needs to re-learn your label.
Please ensure there are multiple labels available to ITPP941 and then run the automatic label identification. Simply press and hold the top button on ITPP941 until you hear one beep. ITPP941 will then move labels back and forth to learn the gap and other properties of your labels.
If automatic label identification does not work or red light remain, please turn off ITPP941 by using the power switch on the back and turn the unit back on.
3. Q: Why nothing happens with I try to print?(The green light is on)?
A: The most likely reason is that ITPP941 is connected to a new USB Port. Windows will register ITPP941 as a "new" printer whenever the USB port changes. Thus when you print to the "old" printer, it simply keeps it in the print queue.
This behavior exists so that you can run multiple ITPP941 printers from the same computer, each with different label types and settings.
How to fix:
(1)Please open your Control Panel -> Printers and Devices and note which ITPP941 Printer is "active". It may be ITPP941 Printer, ITPP941 Printer (Copy 1), ITPP941 Printer (Copy 2), etc. Then be sure to print to the same active printer name when printing.
(2)Alternatively, please unplug and re-plug ITPP941 into the same USB port as before and that should restore your printing without further changes.
4. Q: Why ITPP941 keeps beeping?
A: If ITPP941 keeps beeping, it most likely due to its power source. Please ensure you are using ITPP941's power adapter and that all connections are secure.
Please try plugging it directly into the wall outlet.
5. Q: Why ITPP941 is making loud noise when printing?
A: This is most likely due to your print speed being set too low or density set too high. Please set your print speed to "5" and density to "4" and print.
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Right click on ITPP941 > Printer Preferences > Page Setup
Adjust Speed / Density and click on OK.
Access these settings directly from the print menu as shown below.
6. Q: Why the printers print extra blank labels after the prints?
A: 1. Please check if the page size set in the driver matched the size of the labels that using in the printer.
①Windows: Go to the ‘printer preferences’ ---> ‘advanced’ ---> ‘paper size’, select the correct size for the printer(If you are using 4x6 paper, please select the 100*150mm)
②MacOS: If you print a 4x6 size page. In the print dialogue, please be sure to select your "Paper Size" appropriately (for example 4 x 6).
2. The size of loaded paper is smaller than the label file’s(For example, when printing the 100*190mm file but using the 4x6 (100*150) size paper).
For this situation, you can adjust the scales, margins in the page setup in the using browser.
①Chrome: set the scales and margin in printing preview
②IE browser: click the ‘file’ ---> ‘page setup’ and ajust the margin
③FireFox: Click the ‘file’---> ‘page setup’ and you can set the scales and margins.
1. Adjust the margins
Sometimes your shipping platform or the settings on your application results in prints that are off center or cut-off.
You can adjust these margins and define new paper sizes by right clicking on "Label Printer" and choosing "Printer Preferences"
Click on "Page Setup" and adjust the margins as desired. You may need to do some trial and error to find the perfect combination. You may enter both negative and positive values.
Click on "Apply" or "OK" to send these settings to the printer for your next print.
2. Create new custom size label.
When you load in a new direct thermal label, there are two actions that need to take place: 1) Run the automatic label identification on the printer 2) Set proper label settings on your computer.
(1)Mac: Set your custom label size
In your print prompt menu, click on "Manage Custom Sizes" next to Paper Size.
Enter your paper size and margins on the next window and click OK. You can rename your new label size by double clicking on the highlighted item on the left.
(2)Windows: Set Settings in your Windows Printer setting
Tips and Tricks
1. Sharing ITPP941 over the network (Windows)
First, open the Devices and Printers panel. In this area, you see a list with all external devices installed on your PC. Go to the Printer properties and follow these steps.
When done, click or tap OK . The printer is now shared with the other computers on your network, regardless of the operating systems they are using.
2. Printing FBA Product ASIN labels
In your Amazon Seller Central account, please click on Inventory > Manage FBA Shipments
At the top of the page, click on Scan & Label
Click on Printer Settings, enter your label dimensions, and click on Save
*Tip: If your label size is smaller than minimums required by Amazon, just scale both Width and Height together. For example if your label is 20mm x 20mm, you can enter 40mm x 40mm
Enter your UPC / Merchant SKU and press enter
On the right hand side, you will see Print Label and Download label. Choose one and print the file to ITPP941. Please ensure paper size is correctly selected and that the preview looks correct.
